- Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition
Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a process which allows students enrolled in a regular day school to earn credits for prior learning. Students who challenge a credit will be evaluated against the expectations outlined in the provincial curriculum policy document. Students must submit specific evidence of prior learning. If a student’s application to challenge a course credit is accepted, the student will be required to complete a variety of assessments.
